University of Naples Federico II
The University of Naples Federico II bears in its name the memory of the Swabian emperor who founded it with the generalis lictera on June 5, 1224. It is the oldest public university in the world. The University’s main offices are located in every corner of the city, and the oldest are in the historic center of the city of Naples, which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This means that the Athenaeum is an integral part of the city and that being a Frederican student means experiencing the heart of Naples
